On Saturday, July 9th, you and yours are cordially invited to be a part of Team Consular Corps down on the grounds of the Washington Monument, where we will all play the Anklung, an Indonesian instrument made of bamboo. Anklungs will be provided by the Embassy of Indonesia, and everyone will get one. Playing it is simple - all you do is shake it. Any age can do it perfectly!! A Maestro from Indonesia will be on hand to teach everyone when to shake his or her note, and then he will direct us in playing real music to SET THE WORLD'S RECORD for the largest Anklung Ensemble.
